TankShot is a team based top-down tank shooter that draws inspiration from Wii Play: Tanks! and Mass Effect 3, and some other great games from various genres. In TankShot players play can create a tank and outfit it with different weapons, equipment, chassis, and skills. Players can team up together and navigate randomly generated dungeons with random enemies, boss fights, and loot. There will also be a versus game mode where players can play on 2 teams in Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch battles. There will also be some additional team game modes, but I don't want to talk about them until they are developed further.
I'm currently working with a professional artist (shout out to Richard Shmidbauer), trying to achieve the vision I have in my mind for what the game should look like in its final incarnation. Currently, the game is using mostly development assets that will be switched out as Richard produces them.
This has been a ongoing project of mine for about 10 years now. It began when I fell in love with Wii Play: Tanks! gameplay, and decided I wanted to try my hand at making a updated clone with more weapons. I have gone through about 5 iterations on this game in both Flash (AS2/AS3) and then Unity (C#), always finding new ways to improve the engine.
