Added a basic zoom using the mouse wheel to zoom in and out by scrolling up and down. Also added a reset camera on mouse wheel press. Next, I’ll add smooth transitions between zoom levels.
I’ve also added another ultimate ability; an Artillery Strike. In the future there will be a flare that shoots over to the spot where the player clicked to initiate a strike, and there will be a second or two delay before the artillery comes in. I’m also considering spacing out the artillery shots a little bit instead of having them drop all at once.
Spent a while the last few days working on the ultimate ability system. Here we have two different ultimate prototypes; SuperHeal and MIRV. SuperHeal instantly heals all players on your team to full health/shield. MIRV is a big rocket that splits into many smaller rockets in a circle. More ultimates will be integrated soon!
Spent time recently updating more of the weapons being generated randomly from crates. Plasma shot, flamethrower, and bouncy shots can now all be generated with a random color scheme. In addition I’ve made updates to the placement of doodads/scenery objects in the level editor to make my life easier.
